- Wastewater operators have a challenging job as they try to manage the fluctuating plant influent everyday, every month, every season. Many parameters must be reviewed daily in order to keep the effluent values at permit levels. Any biological wastewater operator can tell you that the bugs are the stars of the show. Managing water conditions and bug population are the keys to successful wastewater treatment. We will dig into best practices when operating biological wastewater plants and will troubleshoot multiple scenarios together. This class would be ideal for new and seasoned wastewater operators.
